About Us

Terra Anima is a Ukrainian family ceramic studio, now located in Amsterdam.

Terra Anima is a family ceramic studio rooted in generations of craftsmanship and a deep connection to the natural world. Our journey in ceramics began over twenty years ago — shaping vases and interior objects, building a practice shaped by care, artistry, and respect for the material.

In 2026, we took this legacy in a new direction by founding Terra Anima — a brand devoted entirely to handcrafted ceramic urns. Growing up surrounded by clay, form, and the creative process, ceramics has always been our language. This felt like a natural evolution: carrying a family tradition forward through something deeply meaningful.

Every urn we make is one of a kind — its own shape, texture, and color. Drawn to organic forms and natural surfaces, our pieces reflect the quiet beauty of earth, stone, ash, wind, and water. For us, nature has always been more than a source of inspiration — it is a reminder of where life begins and where it gently returns.

Some of the most meaningful memories are inseparable from nature: a silent sunrise by the sea, a walk through the forest, an evening gathered around a fire. Memory lives in texture, scent, color, and form. With this in mind, we craft each urn not only as a vessel, but as an intimate object of remembrance — something that holds presence, love, and memory in a form that feels timeless, personal, and deeply human.
